How long does a grooming appointment take?
Typically, it will take 1 to 2 hours. Grooming times vary based on breed, coat condition, length or hair and temperament of the pet.
Do I need to be home for the appointment?
I prefer that you be home for the initial visit to get aquainted, discuss the style you desire, as well as any concerns you may have. After your first appointment, if you and your pet are satisfied, you are not required to be home. Many clients leave access to their pet for future grooming appointments, making mobile grooming very convenient to them. You will come home to a clean dog without the hassle of drop off an pick up at a shop.
What are your Rates?
Rates for grooming vary greatly depending on breed, size, condition of coat, difficulty of trim, and temperament of pet. Pets that need to be dematted or have fleas or ticks will incur an extra charge over the grooming fee. See our SERVICES page for more pricing information.
Why does mobile grooming grooming cost more than a shop?
Mobile grooming prices must include fuel costs, travel time, and wear and tear on the vehicle. Beyond these costs is the luxury service provided to you and your pet. Mobile grooming comes with many benefits that a shop cannot provide.
What are the benefits of using mobile grooming services for my dog?
What are the benefits of using mobile grooming services for me?
How does mobile grooming work?
Everything needed to complete the grooming is inside the van. The vehicle is fully equipped with a table, tub, warm, temperature controlled water, dryers, tools, etc. I arrive at your home within a 1 hour time period previously arranged and do all of my work in your driveway or on your curbside.
Can I see inside your van?
Yes! I take pride in keeping a clean, safe and well equipped salon on wheels and would be happy to show you where your dog will be primped and pampered.
Can I stay with my pet while it is being groomed?
It is usually best if the owner is not present. When dogs are in constant view of their owners, they tend to wiggle and squirm in an effort to get to them, even if they are standing right by the table. This makes it much more difficult for the groomer to safely do their job.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Every 4 to 6 weeks is an ideal grooming cycle to keep your pet clean, mat-free, itch-free, and their skin and coat healthy.
